New Trailer and August 30 Release Date Announced for Star Wars Outlaws

Ubisoft has unveiled a new trailer for Star Wars Outlaws, placing a spotlight on the story and introducing the ensemble of smugglers and thieves players will encounter in the game’s distant galaxy. Developed by Massive Entertainment and powered by the proprietary Snowdrop engine, the game continues to dazzle with its stunning visuals.

In this latest glimpse, players get a closer look at the adventures of Kay Vess, a scoundrel working to earn her freedom by undertaking missions for the galaxy’s underworld figures. The trailer teases appearances from iconic characters and elements such as Jabba the Hutt and Han Solo frozen in carbonite, packed with quick “blink and you’ll miss it” Easter eggs.

Excitingly, the trailer also comes with the official announcement of a release date. Star Wars Outlaws is set to launch on August 30, confirmed after initial leaks from a Japanese trailer version reported by Insider Gaming.

The game will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, Amazon Luna, and PC, with preorders now open. The standard edition is priced at $70, with special editions offering extra content like cosmetic DLC, art packs, and an exclusive mission available for an additional cost.

The release timing in August is perfect for fans, coming just after the conclusion of the new Star Wars: The Acolyte series on Disney+, providing a seamless continuation of the Star Wars universe experience. Let’s celebrate the expanding Star Wars universe!
